This season was the first major turning point for ARUS, since most of its founders had already finished their studies, so the team was now managed by new members whose lack of experience brought some technical issues, but who were able to establish a team spirit which still stands. ARUS started to gain recognition as a team with a solid internal organisation and the aim of reaching the top.

An engine failure testing at Jerez just the day before travelling to Germany triggered all the alarms, but thanks to the huge knowledge the members had about the car it was solved working against the clock, being able to once again receiving the approval at FSG scrutineering. However, since the engine was not properly tested after being fixed, it seized during the Skidpad event, having to repair it for the second time in a matter of days.

The engine was repaired on time for the Acceleration event, where a suspension failure caused yet another DNF and repairings to do. The broken rod end was replaced for the Endurance event, which the engine could not handle, being overreved due to a problem with the shifting, and eventually breaking.

After all the effort and sleepless nights that solving these issues required, ARUS was about to leave Germany without an engine to use in Formula Student Spain. But thanks to the solidarity and camaradery amongst teams, a new engine block was provided in time, being able to compete in Formula Student Spain, although a steering failure this time was the reason why the Endurance was not finished.

Apart from the electronic revolution, the rest of the car was similar than previous year's. However, something which improved this year was the result on both Business and Cost events, proving that the future was promising regarding statics.
