The first major target set by ARUS founders was assembling its first racecar for 2014 season, and that was the main motivation for all members when the new academic year started. Most decisions regarding design and manufacturing were taken seeking reliability, and the result was a balanced car which fulfilled Formula Student regulations.

In Hockenheim, the car passed technical scrutineering and was able to complete the Autocross event and also the first two laps of the Endurance. The experience acquired in Formula Student Germany allowed the team to have a better understanding of the car and carry out certain modifications.

The team did not settle after the good results in Germany, and thanks to the new upgrades applied for Formula Student Spain, all events were completed, including the Endurance, something achieved by very few teams with their first car. The very first summer competing was already a huge milestone for ARUS.

Regarding technical specifications, this prototype weighted 312 kg, too heavy considering that it did not have an aero package. The heart of the car, as it has been ever since, was a Honda engine. Tires were mounted on 13-inch rims.
