The Seville City Council is the main administrative and governing body of the city of Seville, along with the Provincial Council, the Regional Government of Andalusia, and Government of Spain.
Its headquarters are located in the Casa consistorial, a located near the city centre whose construction began back in the 16th century, and which is an example of Renaissance architecture in Seville, with a Plateresque style inspired by Italian Florentine architecture.
As in every other Spanish municipalities, local elections are held every four years, when all 31 seats in the City Council are up for election. The most recent election took place in 2019, with Juan Espadas being elected by the members of the plenary.
This institution has supported ARUS since its very first year, when they started being interested about our project, being part of the continuous progress the team has made over the years, and providing the exposure we need to reach as many people as possible, allowing us to film our cars around the city and next to some of Seville's most well-known monuments.
